“My country is ruled by criminal organizations. Our Prime Minister became the wealthiest woman in the country with money that she took directly from them.
They made so much money with kidnappings, extortions and drug trade, that they started investing in legal activities. Their bosses have become entrepreneurs, buying the restaurants, shopping malls and hotels that see us as customers. They build the houses we live in.
They are so powerful that they choose our politicians…”
These were the last words shouted by K. as the police were dragging him away.
K. used to be one of my best friends, until he started acting strangely.
People started complaining and feeling sad and under threat, and something had to be done about it.
Anyway that was the last I heard of him.
I still don’t know if his allegations were true, because I’ve never been to the country he talked (or rather ranted) about.
I consider myself lucky that I was born in Italy, a civilized and honest country, where such things could never happen.
Just to give you an example, we are ruled by a man, not by a woman.
Listen to my latest guitar solo.
Brought to you straight from a very hot place.
This is the musical version of my poem Crisis, published below.

By the way, I’m curious to hear your views and comments on the stuff I’ve been publishing recently.
Enjoy!
Another instrumental improvisation, featuring my five-month-old baby in a convincing crying session, and my wife playing the intercom.
Enjoy.
This is unusual. Not an ordinary post, but something to listen to. I run a podcast where I read my short stories in Italian. Recently I have purchased a new mic, and the recording quality has improved dramatically. What follows is my first recording with the new tool. No story, just music. It’s a blues guitar solo, on an original composition of mine.
Follow the link and listen on line.
Enjoy.
